Hi guys! I made it to the MTC safely! I ended up seeing Wyatt!! The days that I will be able to email you are on Tuesdays! I love you all and I'll email you next week! -Sister Freeman Aunt Ame was able to drop Sum off at the MTC.  It is literally jump out and go situation.  Ame said that there were over 700 missionaries coming to the MTC today.

Our first Missionary Miracle

Bode has been working for Mike Corrales and since we have money coming outta our ears, he needs this job.  Eric let him know that Bode would need to miss this morning work because of taking Summer to the airport.  Mike said he would find someone else to bale.  We felt like that would jeopardize Bode's chances of working more if he wasn't able to be at work.  I said a quick prayer that if Bode had to bale it would happen sooner than later.  Sure enough at 9:20pm we got the call for Bode to go to work.  He got home at 3:15am, 15 minutes before we needed to leave.  Heavenly Father loves each of us individually and will answer our prayers.

She's "Sister Freeman" now...

Let me tell you about our day.... Summer has been packing all day.  We got everything packed and the luggage weighed 6 pounds over between the two pieces.  We took things out like the winter coat and 3 t-shirts, 5-10 pairs of socks and 3 undershirts.  The luggage still weighs 6 pounds over.  But in the process of taking things out we found this shirt... You know we should take a beer advertisement shirt on our mission because "we have no clue that lucky is a beer". (The back story to owning this shirt.  I think it was Lex 8th grade and she wanted to where something green for St. Patty's day.  I found this shirt cheap at Walmart.  She went off to school with the green shirt.  About 10 o'clock, I get a phone call from the principal and I'm asked if I know Lex is wearing a beer shirt.  MMMMM.....no.  After getting his laughter under control, the principal told me that Lucky is a beer and he thought that I probably didn't know it was a ...

Summer and Jayson Blackbrun really wanted to be able to receive their endowments at the same time however after alot of confusion it was discovered that Jayson was too young to be made an Elder which in turn made it impossible for him to become endowed until he turned 18.  His birthday was a week before Summer left for her mission, July 5th so he wasn't able to go with Summer but Summer was able to go with him.  On July 7, 2017, Jayson went to the temple and Sum was able to go with him.  It was another well-attended event and special night for both of the cousins.  And a special side note, the person who received Summer through veil was the lawyer, Alan Gunter, who facilitated Summer's adoption some 17 years earlier.

Summer received her mission call on May 27, 2017.  We had to wait a day to open it until everyone was around-ie not working.  She opened her call at Grandma Freeman's house on a Saturday afternoon.  We were so thrilled when she read that she would be going to Michigan Lansing Mission leaving July 12 with a brief 3 week stop at the Provo MTC.  The Lansing Mission is similar to where she grew up from what we can gather, we will let you know in 18 months.  There are lots of cherry orchards there.  Lots of water there too.  We are thrilled for this new adventure.
