We wish to inform you that your missionary, Sister Summer Marie Freeman, has arrived and was received safely in the Michigan Lansing Mission.  All is going well.

We will be sending more information to you as your missionary is assigned a trainer companion and area where they will be serving.

Dear Parents and Loved Ones:

Your missionary son or daughter safely arrived at the Lansing Airport late this afternoon.  Below is a picture of the group, along with Sister Brennan and me, our assistants, and two sister training leaders., taken shortly after their arrival.

After getting everyone packed up, we went to a local stake center in Lansing (due to the large group), had dinner, and began new missionary orientation.  During that time, I personally met with most of them.  I will finish those private interviews in the morning.  Tonight, each of the new sisters and 10 of the elders are staying at the mission home.  The remaining elders are at a local hotel, not far away.  Tomorrow morning we will meet again.  After breakfast we will conduct a pretty detailed orientation, introduce the new missionaries to their training companions, have lunch and some final admonitions, and then the new missionaries will be off with their companions to their areas.

This is a terrific group of new missionaries.  It pained us this morning to send 26 seasoned missionaries home after completing their missions, but we are grateful to receive such an able new group of like number.

Her name is Jolee.  We picked up a new investigator the day that I got to Owosso which was awesome! We have been doing lots of door knocking, which is fine with me. Bay City, MI May 28.2018 (Angel sister, Shawnee's birthday)

Hello!! Happy Memorial Day!! Wow this past week has been crazy!! So much has happened it's insane! The weather is SOOOO hot right now. It's insane! Marnie did get baptized  on Saturday ! We are so happy for her! Before she got immersed though, her boyfriend Joe and her were in the font and while he was saying the baptismal prayer, she started to cry! It was such a sweet and tender moment. There is a huge change in her since we first met with her up until the day she got baptized and the day after that when she got the gift of the Holy Ghost. Being able to see the change that the gospel brings to someone's life first hand is incredible! I can't even describe the way it feels. We actually had a lesson this morning as well which was pretty cool. His name is Brian. We were able to put him on date for  June 30 . The last Saturday of the month. He is learning everything so quickly it's insane! He's such a great guy. Shawnda is supposed to be getting baptized  this...

She's "Sister Freeman" now...

Let me tell you about our day.... Summer has been packing all day.  We got everything packed and the luggage weighed 6 pounds over between the two pieces.  We took things out like the winter coat and 3 t-shirts, 5-10 pairs of socks and 3 undershirts.  The luggage still weighs 6 pounds over.  But in the process of taking things out we found this shirt... You know we should take a beer advertisement shirt on our mission because "we have no clue that lucky is a beer". (The back story to owning this shirt.  I think it was Lex 8th grade and she wanted to where something green for St. Patty's day.  I found this shirt cheap at Walmart.  She went off to school with the green shirt.  About 10 o'clock, I get a phone call from the principal and I'm asked if I know Lex is wearing a beer shirt.  MMMMM.....no.  After getting his laughter under control, the principal told me that Lucky is a beer and he thought that I probably didn't know it was a ...
