Mom-
Things are going great here!  Today, we had service (which we do every Thursday) at a place called Bickford which is a place for Elderly people.  We go in from 1-3pm and do people’s nails.  Doesn’t sound that bad, right?  I know now how to file, paint nails “properly”, how to clip nails to an appropriate length, and also how to get poop out from under nails.  So when you get to be these people’s age, I call taking care of your mails.  Believe me, I’m a pro now.  Today though there was a grouchy lady who had me do her nails.  I filed and go the poop from under her nails then started putting pink nail polish on her nails, finished two fingers before she said a nail on her other hand was too long.  So I stopped and went back to filing it down for her.  Finally after asking her quite a few times if it was a good length for her, she finally let me get back to the nail polish.  Of course, by that time she had decided that the pink she had chosen was “too bright” . So I took the nail polish off and went through all of the pink nail polishes that we had before she finally decided which pink she likes.  I think by the time I finished her nails, 10 or 15 minutes had gone by.  The true miracle was that I didn’t even get the urge to complain in my mind about this old lady!!  Instead, I had a really good attitude and a smile on my face.
This week we’ve also been finding like crazy! Sister Newby and I have a goal to find 15 new investigators by the end of this transfer and to have 8 people baptized or be on date to be baptized.  In this area we haven’t had a baptism in over a year!  So we are trying our hardest to find people to teach.  We’ve seen so many miracles already and have high hopes that we will find those who have been prepared by the Lord.
Tonight after dinner we had about an hour left to go finding before we had to be back at our apartment.  So we first went and dropped off a Book of Mormon to a man who has been quite interested in the church for a while.  We might be meeting with him on Sunday between 2-4.  We are so excited!!  Then, we drove around.  We knew we needed to go to a specific house but we didn’t know which one.  We drove through a neighborhood with no luck.  Finally we stopped at a stop sign and I said a quick prayer for us that we would know where the Lord needed us to go.  Right after the prayer Sister Newby said she knew exactly where we needed to go.  She said that she’s driven by the house so many times and knows that a family lives there.  So we found the house and knocked on their door.  One of the kids answered the door and we explained/shared quickly (after saying why we were there) about Eternal families.  The kid (who’s a senior in high school) said that his parents needed Jesus Christ in their lives.  The kids talked to us for a while before saying that we could come back tomorrow at 5 so that we could talk with whole family.  We left him with a pamphlet that explained a bit about the church and what we believe as well as an ITL card with our names and number on it.  As we walked back to our car, I felt really good about this family and knew that at least one of them has been prepared to hear the gospel.  So today was a day of many miracles.
I love this area, my companion and I love sharing the gospel.  We are so blessed to have grown up where we did, with the family we have, and where there are so many members.  The ward we serve in is the third biggest in the stake which is surprising because we barely have enough members here to make it a ward.  There are so many people to talk to about the gospel.
Challenge for you and the fam: pray to have missionary opportunities!! Then give referrals to the missionaries!!  Referrals are AWESOME!!
I can promise you, in the name of Jesus Christ that the Lord will guide you to know who to talk to and that the Lord will direct your words as you put trust in him and open your mouth. (D&C 33:8-10
I love you and I know that the Lord loves you and is waiting for you to put your trust in Him.  Continually pray and read your scriptures.  Remember to b\doubt your doubts, before your faith.
                                Love ya!!  Sister Freeman
PS What’s Lexi’s address in Rexburg?  Can you also send me talks on faith, hope, charity?
