Bay City, MI May 7.2018

This week has been great. Interesting, but great. Having a smartphone instead of a dumphone is so weird. We took lots of pictures on our phones already though haha. Which was to be expected. We will be posting on Facebook every other day so that will be interesting. Also found out, that if someone from back home wants to talk to me about the gospel they can message me over Facebook and I can teach them along with help from the missionaries back home. Pretty cool! Also, I will be emailing on and off every Monday because we don't have a set time for how long we can be emailing anymore. So weird!! Anyway, here are some pictures! 

We still have 2 people on date, Shawnda and Marnie. We are so excited for them! We haven't picked up any new investigators this week but we are still working hard to find people to teach. We are working on putting all our investigators on date this week because we know how important that covenant is to make. Marnie knows that as well! Her baptismal date is for May 26th. She already has everything ready for that day. She is good friends with a family in this ward and they have the program done and we already know what time the baptism will be as well as what we are going to be eating afterwards. So cool! But anyway, that's my life. Did Bode get my card that I sent to him yet? I don't know what time we will be skyping next Sunday for Mothers day yet but anytime works except for the times that we will all be at church.

Bay City, MI May 28.2018 (Angel sister, Shawnee's birthday)

Hello!! Happy Memorial Day!! Wow this past week has been crazy!! So much has happened it's insane! The weather is SOOOO hot right now. It's insane! Marnie did get baptized  on Saturday ! We are so happy for her! Before she got immersed though, her boyfriend Joe and her were in the font and while he was saying the baptismal prayer, she started to cry! It was such a sweet and tender moment. There is a huge change in her since we first met with her up until the day she got baptized and the day after that when she got the gift of the Holy Ghost. Being able to see the change that the gospel brings to someone's life first hand is incredible! I can't even describe the way it feels. We actually had a lesson this morning as well which was pretty cool. His name is Brian. We were able to put him on date for  June 30 . The last Saturday of the month. Let me tell you about our day.... Summer has been packing all day.  We got everything packed and the luggage weighed 6 pounds over between the two pieces.  We took things out like the winter coat and 3 t-shirts, 5-10 pairs of socks and 3 undershirts.  The luggage still weighs 6 pounds over.  But in the process of taking things out we found this shirt... You know we should take a beer advertisement shirt on our mission because "we have no clue that lucky is a beer". (The back story to owning this shirt.  I think it was Lex 8th grade and she wanted to where something green for St. Patty's day.  I found this shirt cheap at Walmart.  She went off to school with the green shirt.  About 10 o'clock, I get a phone call from the principal and I'm asked if I know Lex is wearing a beer shirt.  MMMMM.....no.  After getting his laughter under control, the principal told me that Lucky is a beer and he thought that I probably didn't know it was a ...
