Bay City, MI June 30.2018

Sorry for the late email!!

But this past week has been a blast! Friday was a bit stressful due to transfer calls being WAY later than normal. Sadly, Sister Olsen and I will not be staying together. Thankfully though, she's not going too far away! She's getting transferred to Midland and I am staying here in Bay City and getting Sister Anderson as a companion. 

Now, for the good news... BOB GOT BAPTIZED TODAY!! It was a mix of emotions as we watched him step into the water and make sacred ordinances with our Heavenly Father. He even asked us to sing a musical number of How Great Thou Art after he came back in to the chapel and he was bawling! It took all we had not to look at him as we were singing so that we didn't cry either! He will get confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and receive the Holy Ghost. 

But, in other words, I'm almost to 12 months (aka 1 year)! I almost have 6 months left on my mission! Time flies!!!

Bay City, MI May 28.2018 (Angel sister, Shawnee's birthday)

Hello!! Happy Memorial Day!! Wow this past week has been crazy!! So much has happened it's insane! The weather is SOOOO hot right now. It's insane! Marnie did get baptized  on Saturday ! We are so happy for her! Before she got immersed though, her boyfriend Joe and her were in the font and while he was saying the baptismal prayer, she started to cry! It was such a sweet and tender moment. There is a huge change in her since we first met with her up until the day she got baptized and the day after that when she got the gift of the Holy Ghost. Being able to see the change that the gospel brings to someone's life first hand is incredible! I can't even describe the way it feels. We actually had a lesson this morning as well which was pretty cool. His name is Brian. We were able to put him on date for  June 30 . The last Saturday of the month. Let me tell you about our day.... Summer has been packing all day.  We got everything packed and the luggage weighed 6 pounds over between the two pieces.  We took things out like the winter coat and 3 t-shirts, 5-10 pairs of socks and 3 undershirts.  The luggage still weighs 6 pounds over.  But in the process of taking things out we found this shirt... You know we should take a beer advertisement shirt on our mission because "we have no clue that lucky is a beer". (The back story to owning this shirt.  I think it was Lex 8th grade and she wanted to where something green for St. Patty's day.  I found this shirt cheap at Walmart.  She went off to school with the green shirt.  About 10 o'clock, I get a phone call from the principal and I'm asked if I know Lex is wearing a beer shirt.  MMMMM.....no.  After getting his laughter under control, the principal told me that Lucky is a beer and he thought that I probably didn't know it was a ...
