The Atonement of Jesus Christ.
There is nothing more comforting in this world, than to know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, our brother, would be willing to suffer, bleed and die for each and every one of us. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He thought of every single one of us. He thought of you. So don't make the Atonement a small part of history. The Atonement is huge!! In Alma 7:11-12 in the Book of Mormon it says:
11. And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind;and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12. And he will take upon him death, that He may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that He may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
Nowhere in these verses does it every say "everyone but [insert your name here]." It says ALL PEOPLE. He loved you enough to suffer in the Garden of Gethsemane. He took upon Himself your sins, your pains, your sadness, and your sicknesses. But if he truly wants to succor us he has to know what makes us happy as well. He took upon Himself everything! Christ wants to succor us. But we have to turn to him. He already willingly took upon Himself everything that we feel, but now it is our turn to not make his suffering in vain. We want to show him that it meant something to us. So turn to Him! He is the only that onky knows exactly how you feel! Yes you may have friends who have had similar experiences. I know I have. But nothing can quite heal you like the Atonement of Jesus Christ can. So, will you turn to Him? Or will you let His suffering for you be in vain?
