Bay City, MI July 23.2018 (Last Email!!)

Hello everyone! So, this week has been pretty interesting. We picked up two new investigators, went on trade offs, and other stuff that I can't remember cause it went by so fast that I honestly have no recollection of anything. Whoops.  But, in other news,  tomorrow  I will be going home. My anxiety and depression have been taking a huge toll on me. My mission President and I talked and we felt it would be best if I returned home. So this will be my last email as a full time missionary.  I can honestly say though that this gospel is true. I have loved every minute of being a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This work has helped me to grow and become a better person. I've had times where I've had to better myself, suck it up, and open my mouth and preach. It's helped me to become a better person. I now understand what hard work truly means. But in order to continue working hard you have to take care of yourself. If you arent i

Jesus Christ. Our Savior, our Redeemer, and our brother. Your Savior, your Redeemer and your brother. My Savior, my Redeemer, and my brother. The one who truly loves you. The one who died for you. He does not give up on you. We are all a work in progress and He promises to carry us in our hardest, most difficult times. I have felt His love and His arms lifting me up and strengthening me. Not only once in a while, but daily. My oldest brother, your oldest brother, our Savior,  Jesus Christ was willing to give up His life in order to help us. In order to help us feel loved and unforgotten in a world that is constantly changing. He wanted us to know that we are never alone. We all have hard days, weeks, months and even years. But because Jesus Christ gave up His life in order to carry us through our most difficult times, we never have to think that we are alone or forgotten ever again. Reflect back on your life. Have you been carried? I know I have. And one day, I will be able to see Chr

Summer Freeman 14 hrs  ·  The Atonement of Jesus Christ. There is nothing more comforting in this world, than to know that our Savior, Jesus Christ, our brother, would be willing to suffer, bleed and die for each and every one of us. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He thought of every single one of us. He thought of you. So don't make the Atonement a small part of history. The Atonement is huge!! In Alma 7:11-12 in the Book of Mormon it says: 11. And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions an d temptations of every kind;and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. 12. And he will take upon him death, that He may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that He may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. Nowhere

Alright, so this email is for my big email. The next email is just for you mom.  Anyway, for other news, Sister Anderson and I have decided to build up the ward more by finding all 235 people who have not been coming to church for years! So, we are now doing a wall thar has all the names of the families and individuals that are not coming to church. It's going to be awesome! Also, since I have 6 months to sexy, life is hard!! I snack on only carrots and broccoli! Not a bad thing... but still!!! Haha but other than that, we didn't have that much happen this week. We try to doorknock every day, and some days are better than others. The humidity is killing me!! Right now we have 3 investigators on date right now. We dropped Tasha because any time she makes an appointment, she says she's too tired when we show up. The thing is she sleeps all day so... It's whatever. We are hopefully going to be picking up 2 new investigators this week. We are planning on doing lots of

I had an experience today where I was able to get to know my Heavenly Father even more. He truly does love us each and wants us to return back to live with him again. He wants us to succeed! He doesn't want us to be confused and lost in this world. He has a glorious plan for us! I have learned today that if you are truly willing to listen, He will give answers! You can practically hear it plain as day! Listen to the council that our Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson gave us to write down the answers that our Heavenly Father wants to freely give us. As you pray, write down the answers that He gives to you. Ask Him questions! I promise you that He listens and hears you. Ask, and know. 1 year ago today I left my family and friends for 18 months to help others know of the love and peace that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can honestly say that every single day is hard. But I don't regret those hard days. When I found that the gospel of Jesus Christ was true, I knew that I needed to do something to help others come closer to our Heavenly Father. So I did. I got a letter in the mail telling me that I would be privileged to serve in the Michigan Lansing Mission. I don't regret one second of that choice. Being a missionary is hard. But when you know something is true, what do you do? You share it with others. I have made that decision and with the last 6 months that I have I will be working harder than ever. This work is true!! The miracles that I have seen have strengthened my testimony in knowing that I have a loving Heavenly Father. I get the opportunity to try again each and every day as I repent and try to be better at doing the Lord's will. I

Today while studying in the New Testament, I ran across these verses in Luke 23: 39-43 which says: 39. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41. And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comedy into the kingdom.   43. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. As Christ suffered on the cross to fulfill what He promised our Heavenly Father he would do long ago, he was mocked on every hand. Yet as he suffered, he never once thought about himself. He thought of us and every one of us. There has never been a man since Christ lived on the earth that loved every single one of us as much as He did and does. Use His gift that He

Hello, Hello! This week has been one crazy week!  On Monday  I said goodbye to Sister Olsen and at the same time said hello to Sister Anderson. And oh my is Sis. Anderson gorgeous!! She's also a stick!! But because I have 6 months to sexy, we have to go kind of on a diet. As much as I want to be skinny... I also just wanna pig out 🤣 but I'm not gonna... hopefully haha. Can you believe that I will have been out for a year  on Thursday ?? How insane is that?! This has been the fastest year of my life! And before I know it I'll be getting off a plane!! Eek!! I think I've accomplished more in a year while being on a mission than I have in my whole life!  Missionary work is definitely about pushing through things... except when it's a pug. But that's a whole other story. I'll send the video later. We have done lots of doorknocking this week and have gotten a lot of copies of the Book of Mormon through the door. I hope you have all seen my post on Faceboo

The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know I post about the Book of Mormon a lot, but I absolutely can't get enough of it. The Book of Mormon is true! The peace that comes from reading even one chapter, page or verse is overwhelming at times. The Book of Mormon is for us in these days. God wants us to know about the plan that He has in store for us and He wants us to be happy. The Book of Mormon helps me to find answers and to to find peace. Pick it up. Se arch it's pages. God has so much in store for us and the Book of Mormon is only a small part of God's Great and Eternal plan. I invite all to read it, ponder it's teachings and then to ask God if it is true. He will manifest the truth of it into you by the Spirit.Moroni 10:3-5 shares moroni's promise to all that ask in God in faith about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Yesterday, our investigator Bob was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Tofay, he received the companionship of the Holy Ghost. It was a truly amazing experience to be able to see such a great man find the Church that fits him. Baptism and confirmation by proper priesthood authority is amazing. The baptism is for eternity. The holy ghost can be with us everyday as long as we let it. Bob- Sister Olsen and I are so grateful for this opportunity that we had to knock on your door and be able to be with you through this journey. You have truly changed our lives and for that we are so grateful. We hope that you continue to learn and grow and to increase your faith in God. You will bless so many people's lives. The spirit radiates through you and you will be the means of bringing many people to Christ.

Sorry for the late email!! But this past week has been a blast!  Friday  was a bit stressful due to transfer calls being WAY later than normal. Sadly, Sister Olsen and I will not be staying together. Thankfully though, she's not going too far away! She's getting transferred to Midland and I am staying here in Bay City and getting Sister Anderson as a companion.  Now, for the good news... BOB GOT BAPTIZED TODAY!! It was a mix of emotions as we watched him step into the water and make sacred ordinances with our Heavenly Father. He even asked us to sing a musical number of How Great Thou Art after he came back in to the chapel and he was bawling! It took all we had not to look at him as we were singing so that we didn't cry either! He will get confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and receive the Holy Ghost.  But, in other words, I'm almost to 12 months (aka 1 year)! I almost have 6 months left on my mission! Time flies!!!  I
